AHEAD TANK Sewage Treatment Plant STP series are accepted worldwide in accordance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) Resolution MEPC .227 (64) to meet operational requirements referred to in regulation 9 of Annex IV of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL).

AHEAD TANK STP Series also complies with USCG Title 33 (CFR) 159. and (CFR) 1159.97 and may be installed aboard Inspected Vessels.

HOW IT WORKS

Ahead Tank is a Type II biological aerobic Sewage Treatment System that works with nature to accelerate the normal biological process. Additional oxygen is mixed with the sewage to germinate growth and multiply the naturally occurring bacteria. This action reduces the solids in the sewage. The bacteria uses the reduced particles as their food supply to digest the remaining waste matter. A mild disinfectant solution is added to kill any harmful bacteria before discharging. The system has no internal moving parts that are affected by sewage.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

Ahead Tank Type II biological (bacteria/air) Sewage Treatment Systems are constructed of a Durable, Lightweight & Corrosion Proof LLPE (polyethylene) material. AHEAD TANK is the FIRST & ONLY polyethylene Type II Sewage Treatment System constructed with the three necessary internal watertight chambers rotationally molded into the internal structure of a single Tank. This allows the Treatment Process to function equally or better than the traditional steel fabricated systems of today, with the added benefits of being Easier to Handle, a Smaller Footprint, Simpler to Install & Operate & at a fraction of the cost of a steel fabricated system.
